All Arnold Plant Hire Ltd machines can be hired on a long term contract hire or on a more flexible ‘flexi-hire’ package offering anything from day to day hire, to a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month rolling contract.
Arnold Plant Hire Ltd add hydraulic rotating sorting grabs to the hire fleet. They are suitable for use on the 7.5 ton range of tracked and wheeled excavators and can be hired on a daily or weekly basis.

A modified Case loading shovel has replaced a telehandler in a vital production capacity at a tile-manufacturing facility near Stoke in the UK.
The Case 621 EXR machine has been introduced by Johnson Tiles of Tunstall to work at the sharp end of its production process. The machine is being used to stockpile incoming raw material, such as clay and limestone delivered in bulk, and to feed the material into the tile-making procedure. It is also used to pull a trailer that collects reject tiles which are then also fed back into the production process…

Stockport-based Fast Hire UK is part of the Westgate Holdings group of companies, which owns several other plant and equipment hire interests in the north of England, including Arnold Plant Hire, operated plant specialist H & C Plant Hire, and lifting equipment supplier Ash Hire & Sales.
Looking to add tool hire to its portfolio, in 2005 Westgate acquired a substantial share of Fast Hire UK Ltd, a family-owned independent in Ashton-under-Lyne. At that time, it was close to securing a major local authority order, but needed extra resources to restructure itself accordingly, especially as it would have meant supplying larger plant and machinery to that contract.

Looking to replace a pair of competitive models for an on-going long term contract hire, the company chose Volvo models. “We’ve had experience with excavators from the Volvo range that gave us good reliability and availability but this is the first time we’ve switched to their loading shovels,” explained Arnold Plant’s service director Alan Laithwaite. “This coupled to the outcome of a recent demonstration and the very positive feedback from the personnel on site persuaded us in taking a leap of faith with the L50Fs.”….
