Charity walk completed for CREATING ADVENTURES

On a hot & humid Saturday in June 2023 a small group of walkers, including Arnold Plant Hire Ltd Directors, set off on a 20 mile walk through Cheshire, linking up at points with the Sandstone Trail.

Money was raised & donated to CREATING ADVENTURES Free activities for adults with autstim and learning disabilities in Warrington. (creatingadventures.org.uk)

Golf for Charity – 10 Teams over 3 Days

JCB Golf & Country Club hosted a special day for Charity, 10 teams playing over 3 days raising over £5000 split between two Charities, ‘Access to Business’ Midlands and ‘St Luke’s Hospice’ Winsford, Cheshire.

Following a very different golf day held by APC Forks and Arnold Plant Hire, we were delighted to hand over a cheque to one of the winners, Spillards Safety Systems, nominated charities, Access to Business, which have been holding Health & Wellbeing sessions to assist those that are experiencing increasing mental health issues due to Covid, job-loss or financial issues.

JCB Poppy Appeal 2018

Lord Bamford has announced Arnold Plant Hire Ltd as the winners of the JCB Poppy Appeal auction.

The auction was for a JCB 16C-1 Mini Excavator, with symbolic red poppy livery, with all funds raised donated to the Royal British Legion to support our Armed Forces Community.

This unique ‘Lest We Forget’ mini-digger was created to mark the Centenary of the World War One Armistice and to say ‘Thank You’ to those who served in the Great War.

Arnold Plant Hire Ltd is proud to be associated with the 2018 Poppy Appeal in such a special and unique way and pledges to continue supporting this exceptional charity beyond the end of the 2018 Appeal.

Parkway Plant Sales makes Charitable donation to RRT

Parkway Plant Sales Ltd, part of the Westgate Group, recently sold the 250th machine for 2017, donating all profits from the sale to Rapid Relief Team (RRT).

RRT is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation that serves local communities in times of need. Its purpose is to relieve poverty, suffering and misfortune in the community by serving food and drinks to emergency services personnel, helping out at homeless missions and supporting other charities.

Batten Disease family launch DIY SOS

In July 2016 a Poynton Family needed to build an extension to help their childern who are fighting a fatal illness. Both children have ‘Battens Disease’, a rare degenerative condition with no known cure. Their local community have been fundraising with a campaign called ‘Ollie’s Army’. The money raised will help with the extension and for specialist equipment.

Mike Carroll, the children’s father, took on the building project himself along with volunteer labour and appealed for any additional help from anyone will building skills. Fast Hire & Sales Ltd, a Westgate Group company, was pleased to donate the use of Takeuchi Micro Excavator for the the duration of the project.

JCB Mud Run 2016

On the 18th June 2016 team “Running for Arnold” completed the JCB Mud Run, this year our aim is to raise enough to sponsor a Guide Dog puppy and name it ARNOLD. A big thank to everyone who sponsored us and we are now well on the way to hitting our £5000.00 target by the end of the year.

APC Forks, a division of Arnold Plant Hire Ltd, with the help of JCB, have launched two BLUE JCB TELETRUKS in the livery of ‘Guide Dogs for the Blind’. All hire profits will go to the charity over the next two years to hopefully raise £2500 to support a Dog for training.

 

St Ann’s Hospice inspires new JCB design

St Anns Hospice

Arnold Plant Hire Ltd has agreed a monthly donation to St Ann’s Hospice in Heald Green near Stockport, working with its partner Solutions SK to design a livery for a dedicated JCB which will promote this local charity.

To celebrate this initiative, the Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport ‘cut the ribbon’ to launch this new JCB. The digger can now be seen working in the Stockport Area assisting the Local Authority with their war against ‘potholes’.
